Joseph John Audie IV

That is quite a name, isn't it?  Well, this little one definitely has what it takes, I can already tell!  How, you ask?  Well, I had the honor of capturing some of his first moments in our Fresh 48 session.  When I arrived he was just 3 hours and 45 minutes old.  And, he was amazingly handsome!

This was extra special because I had the privilege of taking the maternity session for this special family.  Kerry and Joey were so much fun and we all seemed to just "click".

I was so happy when they asked me to do a Fresh 48.  One of the little onesies they brought the to maternity session was also at the hospital.

There were some very tender moments and it was a JOY watching these first-time parents with their son!

He was such a little peanut and so photogenic, already.  :-)

Welcome to the world little man!  I hope to get to photograph you through the years...

Double Birthday Surprise!

When Caleb contacted me and told me that his girlfriend and he shared the same birthday and she has been asking for photos of them all together (including her daughter Vanessa), he knew he wanted to surprise her with a gift certificate.  He put out a request on Thumbtack.com and after receiving quotes from local photographers, he contacted me.

I was so happy to be a part of this surprise and quickly made up a gift certificate for him to present to her at the birthday celebration.  Soon after, Anna called me to schedule their session.  Little did I know how adorable this little family was.  Well, see for yourself!

They brought Anna's mom along to help with Vanessa, if need be, so we were also able to capture some special moments with them, together.

But, even with all these fun and good looking people, Miss Vanessa stole the show...

Once we captured some fun moments, we were also able to settle down and get some posed moments as well.  And, of course, some of Caleb and Anna together.

It was a fun day at Clear Creek History Park, in Golden.  I think everyone enjoyed themselves and I can't wait to watch little Vanessa grow up through my lens!

The Little Prince, AKA: Clayton

Do you know the story of The Little Prince?  Well, I met the "real" Little Prince in my studio.  I am pleased to introduce you to Clayton Allen.

He has the most amazing little features....  fingers, toes and oh, that belly button!

Ohhhh, and that sweet little face of his, with that smile!

He looked so cute as an owl and that tie, he looks very dapper.

Welcome to the world Clayton, you've come into a very loving family.

Look who is 1 - it's Kyler'Rhys!

Ky's mom and grandmother came to the studio to capture his 1-year milestone and have a little fun with a cake smash session too.  They brought the most amazing antique crates and some DIY props that grandma (so crafty) made.  Ky was a very happy boy that day...

Once we had some cute smiles, it was time to bring out the cake!  He wasn't so sure about this...  he'd never had cake or frosting before.  It'd didn't take long before he decided he liked it.  Way to go Ky!

Happy Happy Birthday to you... and many, many, many more!

Lost in a book

Miss Taylor's favorite place to be is NOT in front of the camera, but rather, lost in a good book.  This senior was a bit apprehensive about the idea of being the focus of a photo session.  She showed up at Lair o'the Bear Park with a few outfit options, her supportive and sweet mom (who also happens to be a Roller Derby girl!), and a couple of her favorite books.

Taylor's favorite thing to wear are her overalls - and I can see why... she looks adorable in them!

That's not to say that this awesome senior can't dress for the occasion...  isn't she beautiful?!  Great job Taylor and best of luck in the future!
