Excited for Baby Clayton

Alisha and Erik, along with big sister Clara are excited that baby Clayton's arrival is near.  Having been busy throughout her pregnancy, Alisha hadn't had time to get maternity shots.  When we met at our kids' kindergarten welcome night she was so excited to learn that I am a photographer and after talking with Erik about it, we booked right away.  After all, Clayton's arrival is less than a few weeks away!

First I think I should introduce Miss Clara.  She is destined to be the best Big Sister ever!  Isn't she beautiful?!

Then, of course, there is the Grandma-to-be (again).  She couldn't be prouder!

Well, and of course, there is Daddy Erik.  He can't wait to meet Little Mister!

Clara loves her mommy and Erik a lot.  This new addition will be a blessing and/but will certainly change things for her.  Here are few fun moments of her with her Mom and Erik.

Baby Clayton... this world is ready for you and your family is ready to see all the places you'll go!

"Book Jacket" Worthy

Hearing that Angela thought there some "book jacket" worthy shots from her session, I was thrilled.  We had 2 different weather delays but finally were able to shot at Raccoon Creek Golf Course in Littleton.

As a young professional, Angela wanted to get headshots done for sites like LinkedIn.  She was a bit shy at first but quickly warmed up and was very easy to photograph.  Nice job Angela, I had fun working with you.

30 Little Fingers and 30 Little Toes!

When I saw a request come in on Thumbtack.com for a special photo session, I knew I had to reply with a quote.  Thumbtack is a great website for finding and offering professional services.  I normally only actually quote a few jobs that come in from that site but this one spoke to me.

The requester was a mom of 3 boys and she didn't have a chance to get newborn photos of her son Cortlan because he had some complications.  She explained that he had a G-Tube and he was 9-months old but she still wanted to try and get some of those "newborn" poses.

I quoted it immediately and was thrilled when, after some messaging back and forth, she chose me.

Her other 2 boys are twins and they were all very fun!  Please enjoy some of the moments I captured at their Littleton home.

Dylan's Senior Photos

Martha found me on Thumbtack.com, she was looking for a photographer to take her son's senior photos.  I was thrilled when she clicked the "hired" button and we set a date.  Her son Dylan was so fun to work with - he was a natural in front of the camera.

Dylan plays Ultimate Frisbee for USA Frisbee.  As we were taking photos, a man stopped us and asked about the Frisbee.  Turns out, he is a coach for USA Frisbee.  What are the odds?!

About half way through the session I told his mom that I wanted my daughters to meet a nice boy like Dylan.  He was kind, respectful, and funny.  She told me that this isn't even an act, this is how he is all the time!

Before we were done, we had to get a few shots of Dylan with his car.  He said that he is almost done paying back his parents.  Then his mom said, that it was his choice to pay them back.  By getting a 4.0, he earned a car.   By being a young man with integrity, he is repaying his parents.  Great job Dylan, have an AWESOME senior year!

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

Haruko contacted me in hopes of getting family photos done when her oldest child was home from Japan - they had a very small window of time.  I was so glad that I could make it work for them... as you'll see below, they are a fun family!

Their 3 amazing kids....  the oldest in Japan, the middle in Fort Collins, and the youngest.. a soon-to-be senior in high school.

Such a great family.....

...that also likes to be silly and have fun!

We started at Lair o'the Bear Park, got rained out and sat at Raccoon Creek for nearly 40 minutes waiting for the storm to pass.  Thank goodness it did.  Thank you, Haruko, your family is awesome!

Mountain Vista Class of 2017

A huge congrats to one of Mountain Vista's 2017 graduate.  Although he wanted to just "get it done" and was doing this session mostly for his mom, he was a good sport and was very natural.  After hearing that he has 4 other siblings and being told I'll be her kids' photos for years, I left smiling... and I think they did too!

Congrats again - the world is yours!

Celebrating 50 Years of Marriage!

Wow!  50 Years!  That's right - 50 years of marriage, what a milestone!

Chrissi and I met when she was interviewing for a job at the company where I worked.  That was some 10 years ago, and a few weeks ago, I had the honor of taking her extended family photos to capture the special milestone of her parent's 50th wedding anniversary.

They had two girls...  my friend Chrissi, and her sister, Annie

Chrissi and Annie both found love... Chrissi with David, and Annie with Dave.

Chrissi's boys are all grown up now, it's hard to believe!  In fact, her son Matthew is married.  His beautiful bride is Julia.

Between David and Annie, they have 3 kids...  Ezra, Aurora, and together, Ella.

This family is quite a crew and I am thankful I know them!

Congratulations to a very special couple - here's to many, many more!
